How To Plan For Success
Wouldn’t it be great if you had a vision of what success meant to you, right now at this moment in your life, and you absolutely knew that you would be able to achieve that level of success.
Today, I’m going to discuss…
How To Plan For Success.
First of all, what is success??
That right there, my friends is a big question ask and for a lot of people, that’s often what we struggle with.
You see, Success can be defined differently by everyone, but let’s start off with the notion that…
being successful means the achievement of your desired vision and plan goals.
Now, I would further add that success could also be defined as the happiness that you feel on the journey towards achieving your vision and your plan goals.
So how do you plan for success? Another question might be to ask; do you feel successful right now, and you’re just trying to reach higher levels of success?
Or do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, and stressed and feeling like you’re not successful at all?
One of the most challenging aspects of achieving what you would consider to be success or achieving any goal that you set for yourself, is to break the negative cycle of actions and habits that are keeping you stuck, where you are.
Einstein said:
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.”
You see, we as humans are creatures of habit, and we have a tendency to do the same things today, as we did yesterday. And the tendency will be for us to do the same things tomorrow that we did today.
And if you stay with your current actions and habits, you will continue to get the same results you’ve been getting people wonder why they’re getting the same results in life when they continue to do the same things over and over again.
Another great quote and one of my favorites is…
If you always do what you’ve always done,
then you’ll always be what you’ve always been.
If you want to see different results than what you’ve been getting, and you have to do things differently than how you’ve been doing them.
So where does that leave us?
How do you plan for success?
Well, you have to get clear on what your vision of success is and what your goals are for what you want to be, do and have in your life.
But you see, most people just generally talk about what they want to happen, and they never do anything about it,
but that’s not you, right?
You are going to get exactly clear about what you want, and do yourself a favor, be as specific as you can. You need to have a clear picture for your brain, in exact detail of exactly what you want, what your goals are and what your vision of success is. This way your brain will know exactly what to work on.
Now, One of the most important things you could do is write it down.
Now, let me repeat that,
Write ***It*** Down.
Think about it: deciding what you would define as being a success and being happy in life, is one of the most important things that you could work on. So take the time to sit down with pen and paper or on computer, if that’s how your mind works. Me, I like to have pen and paper to work with. I like to draw lines. I like to doodle. I like to draw out rows and charts. But if using a computer is the best way that you work, take the time to sit down and get specific, but write it down either on a computer or paper.
At the start, I said a I would discuss; How To Plan For Success, right?
So now that you’ve sat down and got clear and specific about what your visions are for success and what your goals are for what you want to be, do and have, you have to plan out how are you going to make that happen?
So your Plan is the actions that it will take to reach your goals. Now that you’ve made a plan of action to reach your goals, you need to actually schedule out your actions to implement your plan.
Benjamin Franklin said:
“If You Fail To Plan,
Then You Are Planning To Fail”.
Now, if you just talk about what you don’t want to happen, or you just generally talk about what you want to happen, then most likely your current situation is not going to change.
Or if you make a plan, but you actually don’t take any action; again, nothing will happen.
But if you have a vision for your success, you make goals, You make a plan for how you’ll reach those goals and you schedule out your new actions, then… you’re definitely on your way.
And the cool thing that happens when you start to implement new positive actions is that you KNOW that you are on the path towards achieving your goals.
You will become more confident and more sure of yourself. You’ll have less stress and anxiety because you know that it’ll be living life on purpose and going in the direction of your dream.
And in turn, this will improve your level of happiness, but let’s talk about happiness for a minute.
Many people say that; “I’ll be happy when this happens, or I’ll be happy when that happens, or I’ll be happy when things calm down”.
But what most people don’t realize is that…
Happiness Is A Choice. It’s a State of Mind.
It’s Not a Destination.
So if you’re waiting for some thing or some time to be happy, guess what? You’ll always be waiting and you’ll be upset when it doesn’t materialize.
So make the choice to be happy and, guess what; you’ll be happy you did.
And remember if you put the time in to be clear about what your vision of success is and what your goals are for the future, it gives you the ability to become more present, more positive and happier in the present moment.
So, To review plannig for success,
I want you to get a clear vision of what success means to you and be specific about what your goals are for the future.
Have a plan of action to reach those goals and schedule out the actions that are necessary to implement your plan and…
use your future goals and your vision for success, to be more present in the moment and be happy in a moment.
