How To Get Clarity & Get Results
Hi, I’m Mark Marino.
Now some of you may know me as a physical therapist and others may have seen me as a speaker for my mindset, wellness presentations. Now, if you’ve seen my content, you may know that sometime ago I was involved in a very serious car accident with severe injuries and multiple surgeries. And for about 10 years, I suffered from severe chronic pain. And this led to stress overwhelm and many others
So after suffering for years, and after my own extensive research,
I came to the realization that I am in control,
and this led me to develop strategies, to help me enhance my mindset, to overcome my obstacles and reach my goals.
And that’s exactly why I created the awaken, your wellness now blog, and my awaken your mind course;
To help anybody that has physical or emotional pain, stress overwhelm, a lack of focus, and to help them overcome these challenges, to get results in their life.
Now, today, I’m going to discuss a few tips on how to get clarity, to help you achieve the results you want in life.
The key to achieving what you want depends upon your ability to get clarity on yourself and on your vision for what you want.
It’s easy to feel like you’ve plateaued, like you’re on a treadmill and going round and round doing a lot of work, but not really feeling like you’re getting anywhere.
This usually happens when you’ve lost sight or clarity about your vision, your vision, about what you want to achieve, the vision of what you want to be, do, and have in your life.
So you see
“If you’re not clear about what you want, then what you want will not appear. …Mark”
So if you are not clear about what you want, then your brain defaults to stall mode. So instead of planning your actions to match your vision, you react to the world around you in passive mode, which can lead to stress, overwhelm and a lack of focus.
So to reset and start to live your life on purpose, you need to get clarity about where you are and what you want.
Again, to get results. You need to get clarity.
So here are a couple of tips on how to get clarity and get results.
So one thing is very clear. If you want to know your path, you have to know two things.
The first thing you need to know is where you are now.
So this entails looking at the different areas of your life and seeing where you’re at presently.
First is to do what I call a Self-Assessment Clarity Check.
This is where you look at the different areas of your life and take stock of where you are presently. So my suggestion is that you take out a piece of paper or your journal, and you do this exercise in writing.
I do want you to do this exercise in writing, because there’s a tendency that, if you do it just in your head, that it will stay there and that it will not lead to any action.
So I want you to look at the different areas of your life, and you can look at areas like:
Personal Growth and Development,
Family and Friends,
Health and Fitness
Business and Career
Relationships
Now, go through each area specifically and in detail. So where are you now?
You can even score yourself on a zero to 10 scale. If you score yourself a 10, that means you’re completely satisfied with that area of your life. Now, myself personally, I wouldn’t score myself a 10 in any area of my life, because I think I’m always a work in progress and I can always learn more in any area of my life.
And obviously, you would score a lower number in any area of your life that you feel like you’re unsatisfied and need work in. So rate yourself in each category. This will help you to take stock with where you are presently.
It also helps with this exercise to “go with your gut”, because most of us know the areas of our life that we need work on.
Get as specific as you can in these areas, because it lets you know exactly where you are and what you need to work on.
This exercise just gives you more clarity.
So after you’ve done your Self-Assessment Clarity Check and you know what your current status is or where you are now;
What’s the next thing you need to know?
Well, that’s my second tip.
Now you need to know where you’re going or what your destination is.
In other words, what are your goals?
Now this can change as you go through the different phases of your life, but to take action and live life on purpose, getting specific about what you want, gives you the clarity that you need to see the path that leads to the accomplishment of your goals.
Tom Steyer said:
“Clarity of vision is the key to achieving your objectives”.
Now we could do a full weekend course entirely on “how to set goals”, but for today, I’ll give you this.
Be as specific as you can when you’re setting your goals and write them down. Some would say, if it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist.
The more clarity you have on what you want to be, do, and have, increases your ability to take the actions that are necessary to reach those goals.
So remember to get the results you want, get clarity on where you are now by taking stock and doing a self-assessment and get specific about what your goals are for what you want to be do, and have.
Be Positive, Be Motivated, Be Focused and Be Well,
Have a great day.
